Sant Cugat is heritage. The heart of its history is to be found in its streets and squares, where the crossroads of the past are the meeting points of the present. The towns highlight, The Monastery, is one of the finest examples of medieval art in Catalonia, The medieval old town, The modernista and noucentista buildings, such as Casa Aymat, headquarter of The Contemporary Tapestry Museum or The Cooperative Winery, designed by the architect Cèsar Martinell.
Sant Cugat is a Green City. Almost half of the municipality lies within the Serra de Collersola Natural Park, one of the largest metropolitan parks in the world. There are thirteen urban parks planted with horse chestnuts, and The Xandri Pine Tree, more than 250 years old and an emblem of Sant Cugat.
