The hermitage is located inside the Collserola Park (at the head of the Gausac valley). Sant Medir is a church of Romanesque origin, but very transformed, with a Gothic relief since 1447. The hermitage has a rectangular floor plan, with a barrel vault and a belfry bell tower. This building is a very popular place during March 3, as the traditional Sant Medir meeting is held, in honor of the city's patron saint.
