The chalet is named after its former owner, Josepa Negre, who commissioned the modernist architect Eduard Maria Balcells to build this building in 1917. Despite the renovations, the building maintains its modernist style (fence, façade, balconies with balustrades, etc.) and, as of 2011, it consists of a municipal facility intended to promote activities for people over 55 years of age. Inside, there is a computer room and an open-plan classroom (divisible into three parts to offer different activities); There are also the offices of the Basic Primary Social Care Services.
