El hombre que embotelló el sol tries to approach to the city model of Benidorm (Alicante), a current world leader destination in leisure and tourism. It is a reinvention of the city that has turned into a coastal tourism icon and a destination for more than a generation of Spanish people. 

Where did the idea of ​​transforming a small village of fishermen and sailors into a tourism capital of the middle class emerge? What's behind the entire skyscrapers in front of the seaside? Who was the architect of this change? These questions and others are answered in this documentary.

Apart from Benidorm, the film has filmed in Madrid, Bilbao, La Gomera, Valencia, Alicante, London, Stockholm... In Barcelona it has been recorded in the Olympic Port.
