Barcelona, the setting of the film

They are filming for nine weeks between Biscaia and Barcelona. Daniel Monzón directed and co-wrote alongside Jorge Guerricaechevarría. Ruega por nosotras stars Zoe Bonafonte and debutant Manuela Calle, alongside various young actresses: Carla Domínguez, María Gandiaga, and Shiara Fernández. Adelfa Calvo, Malena Gutiérrez, María Cerezuela, Belén Cruz, Xavi Saez, and Bea Segura, among others, complete the cast.

Ruega por nosotras is a story of friendship and resistance that unfolds in the context of the Patronato de Protección de la Mujer, an institution established during the Franco dictatorship with the objective of "redeeming the immoral dona" and through which hundreds of thousands of young people would spend their time. Set between 1974 and 1979, the film places the viewer in the shadows of some of these young people, but gradually discovers, but atrociously, the narrowest charge of oppression reserved by the Patronat for any young people who cross the six portes.
