They find eachother at a key point in their respective lives: Pau is negotiating the tricky path from adolescence to maturity, and Domingo, the equally tricky one leading from old age to death. In spite of their age difference, they will become the closest of travel companions. With the help of Pau and Clara, Domingo's granddaughter, the old sailor will break free from the old age home in order to see the sea one last time.
