Cadaqués

Cadaqués, situated at the heart of the Cape Creus peninsula, in the most northeasterly point in Catalonia, is one of the most outstanding and unusual fishing villages on the Catalan coast.

The town combines typical Mediterranean architecture with the wild and picturesque landscape of Cape Creus. The paved streets of Cadaqués lead visitors through a maze of low, white houses, huddling around a hill crowned by the church. Radiating light and serenity, Cadaqués is the ideal location for film productions seeking the authenticity of a sea-faring past and the inspiring magic of a purely Mediterranean landscape.

The outstanding beauty and remarkable features of the town, which conserves its age-old culture and popular traditions, has also attracted intellectuals and artists, helping to make this a modern town, as well as an inspiration to such famed artists as Salvador Dalí, who found in Portlligat beach the ideal setting for his home, in a house now converted into a museum.

Those interested in filming in Cadaqués should contact the local authority.
