Barcelona on bike

Today begins the Rueda Festival, this is the first competitive film festival that has the bicycle as the protagonist. For four days you will be able to see new films in which the passion for the bicycle will be shown in its different aspects. This is the third edition of Rueda Festival that will feature a competitive section and several other sessions out of competition. Among these other sections, you have the children's section, Rueda Kids: a selection of animated shorts for the whole family with which the youngsters can enter the world of the bicycle for the first time. This year the novelty is the Bike Smut, a collection of erotic shorts inspired by cycling with which they open their firts night sessions.

The festival has also programmed a wide variety of parallel activities taking advantage of the new location of the festival in the Superilla of Poble Nou: a race of cargo bikes, outdoor concerts, a street market or the Bike Polo tournament. The Rueda festival begins today its new edition with the inauguration of the exhibition "Bike Wars" by the photographer Gema Polanco. The opening will be closed with a concert by the Indie duo Tronc and the traditional Full Moon Ride, a route on bike to see the moon next to the collective Veni Vidi Bici.
