The Barcelona director is filming again in our city, after shooting the series The Innocent. This time in a film format with a script by Paulo himself together with the playwright and screenwriter Guillem Clua, with whom he worked on the Netflix series. The script adapts the work that Torcuato Luca de Tena published in 1979.

Filming started last May and will last for nine weeks in different locations in Barcelona and Tarragona. The film tells the story of Alice Gould, a private investigator who is admitted to a psychiatric hospital to follow the lead of a case in which she works. Barbara Lennie plays the protagonist and Eduard Fernández the director of the psychiatric hospital, Samuel Alvar. The cast is completed by Loreto Mauleón, Javier Beltrán, Pablo Derqui, Fede Aguado and Adelfa Calvo, among others.

Los renglones torcidos de Dios is a Nostromo Pictures, Atresmedia Cine and Filmayer production. Warner Bros. Pictures Spain will release the film in theaters in 2022.
