An edition dedicated to science fiction

On the 11, 12, and 13 November, the Feminist Film Manifestos VII of Barcelona International Women’s Film Festival will arrive at the Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB). The programming of this seventh edition is an approach to how cinematographic feminisms have approached science fiction.

On the 11th we will see Invisible Adversaries by Valie Export; on the 12th Flaming Ears by Ashley Hans Scheirl, Ursula Pürrer, and Dietmar Schipek and the 13th the pieces In Vitro by Larissa Sansour and Søren Lind, Otolith I from The Otolith Group, Afronauts by Nuotama Bodomo, Time Travel Experiments by Black Quantum Futurism and I Like Tomorrow by Jennifer Reeder and Nancy Andrews. All sessions will be at 7:00 p.m.

As a novelty, this edition has an open and free speculative filming workshop by the Mallorcan filmmaker Marta Grimalt. It will be on November 13 at 10:30 a.m. at the CCCB.
