The first edition of the LAAB – NETWORKING EVENT was celebrated successfully

It was held at the Born Centre de Cultura i Memòria

In this LAAB Networking Event all the participating works were presented to producers, antennas and distributors. A total of 43 books participated in this call, which was attended by the Culture Commissioner of the City Council of Barcelona, Joan Subirats. Of these works, 6 were awarded with an economic grant to make a first version of the script.

 

 

 

 

The winning books of this first edition of LAAB: Laboratori d’Adaptacions Audiovisuals de Barcelona are:

  • La pel·lícula de mi vida by Maite Carranza
  • Mi casa en llamas by Sofía Ros
  • L’estiu de l’amor by Toni Orensanz
  • Herba negra by Macip Garzón (Salvador Macip i Ricardo Ruiz Garzón)
  • El nas de Mussolini by Lluís-Anton Baulenas
  • Sideral: Estrella fugada by Héctor Castells

After getting to know the winning works, a networking session was held to foster the environment to create the connections that will allow the 43 works to be converted into audiovisual works.

This initiative is a laboratory for adaptation to the audiovisual sector of literary works edited and published linked to the city of Barcelona. It is promoted by the Institute of Culture of Barcelona through the Barcelona Film Commission.
