FILMS SHOT IN BARCELONA THAT PARTICIPATE IN THE SAN SEBASTIÁN FESTIVAL

The competition begins on September 20

These are the films participating in this year's edition of the San Sebastian Festival. Icíar Bollaín premieres her new film, I'm Nevenka. In addition, there will be a retrospective of her works, including Katmandú, un espejo en el cielo (2012), a film she shot in Barcelona.

On the other hand, within Special Screenings, you can see the first chapters of I, Addict, a TV series that will tell in six episodes, the story of overcoming the eponymous book written by Javier Giner, played by the actor Oriol Pla.

In the Perlak section, you can see Marco, out of competition, with Eduard Fernández, directed by Jon Garaño and Aitor Arregi. The film is a biopic of Enric Marco Batlle, a Spanish trade unionist who served as general secretary of the National Confederation of Labour (CNT) and president of the Amical Mauthausen of Spain. During his time as the head of the association, Marco gave a large number of talks, mainly in educational centers, about his alleged experience as a survivor of the Nazi camps. In 2005, He achieved international fame after a report by the historian Benito Bermejo discovered that he had falsified data from his biography to appear as a survivor of the Flossenbürg concentration camp.

Bigas Luna's Tattoo will close the Klasikoak section. The first adventure of Detective Pepe Carvalho by Vázquez Montalbán brought to the big screen.

In the Made in Spain section, we will see several productions filmed in our city:

Tiempo de silencio y destrucción, by Joan López Lloret, will open the section. A journey to reconstruct the figure of the writer and psychiatrist Luis Martín-Santos.

Norberta is a comedy starring Luis Bermejo and Adriana Ozores, a couple who change their lives when Norberto wants to become Norberta. Directed by Sonia Escolano and Belén López Albert.

Marc Ferrer will present To Laugh, to Sing, Perhaps to Cry, which shows the relationship between a middle-aged trans woman and a Moroccan immigrant who has just arrived in Barcelona.

Emma Vilarasau, Enric Auquer, Maria Rodríguez Soto, Alberto San Juan, Clara Segura, Jose Pérez-Ocaña and Macarena García star in A House on Fire. It is a dramatic comedy directed by Dani de la Orden about a family gathering at a summer house that will develop unexpectedly.

Los pequeños amores, the second film by Celia Rico Clavellino, tells us the story of a mother and daughter who spend the summer together and cannot agree on even the most trivial things.

Finally, Liliana Torres will present Mamífera, which premiered at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin (SXSW) and won the Special Jury Prize for Maria Rodríguez Soto, its protagonist, who plays a woman who does not want to be a mother.
