They are shooting in Barcelona
Prime Video has begun filming Apocalypse Z: Part II, the continuation of the international phenomenon released last year. It was the platform's most viewed original non-English language production. Carles Torrens directs this film again, which is shot on location in Barcelona, Lleida, and Gran Canaria, and is produced by Nostromo Pictures.
The main cast includes Carlos Alcaide, Julia Martínez, Mónica López, Tamara Casellas, and Santiago Vaca Narvaja. And Jose María Yazpik returns, as Pritchenko, a key ally, and Berta Vázquez, who resumes her role as Lucía, a nurse entrenched in a hospital threatened by the infected. Also added are Axel Medrano, Pedro Hernández, Javier Godino, Ujin Moreno, and Mario Mayo. Pedrito come backs, the cat who plays Lúculo, a character who conquered the public in the first film.
In this second part, the Canary Islands have become the last haven in Europe after the spread of the TSJ virus. A special mission leaves for the peninsula to look for vital supplies. Roberto (Alcaide) joins the team with dubious intentions, and the operation turns into a desperate race for survival between hordes of infected and divided loyalties. The central dilemma is whether to save yourself or risk everything for the sake of humanity.
