The area is the epicenter of a space that seems alien to the contemporary development of the city.

The square of the Monastery, located in the eastern part of the monastic enclosure, gives access to the Museum of the Monastery, where you can observe the magnificent cloister.

It consists of a small rectangle bounded by a street that runs alongside. Formerly, the square space was part of the medieval monastery property, which passed into private hands in 1870 from public auction.

In the early twentieth century the development of the square and the surrounding streets began. It gave a touch of elegance with rustic elements, especially in the flooring, which give the set an incredible effect. It is surrounded by several species of trees, including pine trees, banana and palm trees.
