Pilar is an ordinary woman who lives immersed in a routine that has never been questioned: work, family, and housework. For this reason, when she is fired unexpectedly, she enters a deep identity crisis. Despite everything, she refuses to give up and clings to what she thinks remains for her: her role as the mother of two teenagers, but unfortunately, her children no longer need her as before. In this personal situation, she is moved by the generational gap regarding the young women of her family, who, like a mirror, reflect back to her the longing for a life she has never lived. Un lugar común is a search for the identity of a fifty-year-old woman who, after a lifetime of taking care of others, asks herself: "And who takes care of me?"
