In Barcelona’s rough, underprivileged Raval neighbourhood, two gangs live in a constant state of war. Pitu’s gang, lead by Tanet, try to achieve a better world within the tough social environment in which they live. The rival gang of “La Trinxera”, in their infantile world, merely idolise and imitate the leader of the neighbourhood’s riffraff. But when Pitus becomes seriously ill, a sense of solidarity support is kindled amongst the kid which will overcome their differences. The kids decide to set up a zoo in an abandoned factory, in order to cover the expenses of Pitus’ treatment. Obliged to face the possibility that their friend might die, the kids begin their own particular struggle against odds, a struggle in which they receive the collaboration of the whole neighbourhood.
