Serra de Collserola Natural Park is a well-preserved, 8,000-hectare natural area in which forest predominates but which also includes a variety of other plant formations that provide a habitat for valuable biological diversity. It is a Natural Area of Special Protection (ENPE), which implies a regime of superior protection and regulation of uses.

It is situated next to Barcelona and managed by the Consortium of Natural Park of the Sierra de Collserola (El Papiol, Molins de Rei, Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Sant Just Desvern, Esplugues de Llobregat, Barcelona, Montcada i Reixac, Cerdanyola del Vallès i Sant Cugat del Vallès).
