The city of Tarragona is pure Mediterranean essence. Very well connected and located less than an hour from Barcelona, has a Roman heritage declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Other attractions that define the city are their unique medieval old town, ten miles of coastline with beaches, with fine golden sand, pristine beaches, boardwalks and one of the largest ports in Europe.
Its weather, light and the great diversity of settings make the city a great set for any television, advertising or film production. The Catalan capital has already hosted shooting of films like 'My Name is Juani (2006)' Bigas Luna, 'Julia's Eyes (2010)' Guillem Morales, or 'Son of Cain (2013)' Jesus Monllaó.
Given the great potential of its district, the Tarragona Film Office offers the audiovisual industry by offering, free of charge, assistance in finding filming locations and the processing of permits, coordination of municipal services necessary and assistance in production logistics, with the intent to be a valuable support tool for professionals.
