The towns of Alpens, Prats de Lluçanès and Sant Boi de Lluçanès are members of the BCFC network through de Lluçanès Board. The Lluçanès region is a zone which lies below the Pre-Pyrenean mountains, between the Llobregat and Ter rivers, in the northwest of Osona County. The main attractions in this area, which lies little more than an hour by road from Barcelona, are its well-preserved environmental heritage and its rural character. The landscape is dominated here by fields and agricultural activity, features seen throughout this territory. Moreover, the legacy left by the local stockbreeding activity takes the shape of a network of transhumance paths through leafy woods, leading to architectural and heritage sites of great historic and cultural value. As a result, the Lluçanès region offers production companies a range of attractions, from traditional farmhouses, mills, barns and tile works to villages (some inhabited, some abandoned) imbued with the air of bygone centuries, as well as monumental sites from different periods: medieval, Renaissance, and even baroque. To all this must be added the remains of industrial architecture that can still be found in many places here. All production companies interested in filming in the Lluçanès region should contact the Lluçanès Consortium, which will acts as a liaison before the competent authorities with regard to permit formalities, and which can also provide audiovisual industry professionals with information about locations, accommodation and transport.
