Synopsis:
The story of a man ahead of his time confronted with the ignorance of the Spanish Inquisition, and at the same time a musing on faith and power. Domenicos Theotocopoulos, better known as El Greco, is the film's main character. Surrounding him is a whirl of passion, intrigue and violence. El Greco discovers his great adversary in the figure of the Grand Inquisitor, Niño de Guevara. After upholding a rather ambiguous relationship for many years, Niño de Guevara will become his worst enemy.
