Director, screenwriter and producer Anna M. Bofarull directs this film. Nora Navas, Halima Ilter, and Iman Ido are the three protagonists. Part of the filming has filmed in Barcelona where one of the protagonists lives, Carlota, played by Nora Navas. Sinjar explores the intertwined lives of three women. Carlota is a middle-aged Spanish mother who is looking for her son, who has left to do the Jihad. Hadia is a Yazidi slave imprisoned in a house in Syria with her young children; Arjin is a teenager who manages to escape from captivity to become a soldier. The three of them face a terrible enemy. How far will they be willing to go to win back those they love?

Film selected by L’Atélier - Cinéfondation at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival and a finalist in the second round of the Sundance Creative Production Lab.
