Liliana Torres directs Maria Rodríguez Soto and Enric Auquer in this story of a woman who decides not to be a mother of her own free will, supported by her partner. In Spain, the law at that time required three days of reflection before having an abortion. Lola gets pregnant by accident. The film explains how Lola lives these three days when, despite the firm decision to have an abortion, she will have to face all kinds of questions.

In this article, we review the film locations of Mamífera in Barcelona. They were shot mainly in the Montbau neighborhood. Jordi Barrera was the location manager. The location manager was Laura Soler, the location assistant Juanjo Sánchez, and the location assistant was Edgar Ortiz. Be careful if you haven't seen the film because there may be spoilers!

Lola (Maria Rodríguez Soto) and Bruno (Enric Auquer) are a couple. The film begins with everyday scenes from their life in their flat. The interior of this flat is at Pla de Montbau, 5. 

Later, Lola takes her dog, Cleo, for a walk. We see them leaving at the door of the building. This door is at Calle Lírica, 13. Lola is on a patch of grass between Ronda de Dalt and a traffic light. Cleo does her business. Then she approaches a traffic light to cross. They are at Calle Armonía, nº1. On her walk, she finds a pile of furniture and magazines on the street. She picks up some magazines and books and takes them with her. In this scene, she is at Calle de la Lírica, 8.

Later, we see Lola walking to La Massana (Plaza Gardunya, 9), where she is a teacher. We see her going up some stairs and greeting someone. Then, she teaches inside a classroom.
Moments later, we see Lola inside a subway car while she looks at her mobile phone. She is on line 3 of the subway. We see her walking towards a doorway and ringing the bell. It is the house of her friend Marta (Maria Ribera). The scenes outside the building are on Provenza Street, 362. The scenes in the interior are on Diputación Street, 304. Lola has dinner with her friends at Marta's house. There are Sònia (Mireia Aixalà), Judit (Ruth Llopis), Ingrid (Anna Bertrán), and Paula (Ana Alarcón). When dinner is over, Lola and Paula talk on the street. They are in front of the Verdaguer subway station on the blue line. On Calle Provenza with Bailén.

Another day, Lola goes to the gynecologist’s office. They are at the Vall d’Hebron Hospital. Then she leaves through the hospital door. She walks down Pla de Montbau, 9, completely shocked and worried. She goes down the stairs next to Calle Clara Ayats. She walks down Poesía Street to the door of the Condis Express, at number 9, and goes inside.

Once she has told her partner that she is pregnant, the two of them go to a doctor's office to discuss terminating the pregnancy. They are back at the Vall de Hebrón hospital. They walk down the corridors and then to the door. Bruno says goodbye and walks down the street. He has to go to work. He walks down Paseo Vall d'Hebron.

Lola takes the Renfe train. We see her sitting and answering mobile messages. She is going to visit her mother with Cleo. Their house is in Sant Vicenç de Montalt. Then, we see her stepping down some stairs and going through a tunnel to cross the track. The tunnel is at Armonía Street, 1, and is the underpass to cross the ring road on foot. There, Lola notices some posters. Later, she runs through the subway tunnel connecting two lines, line 1 to line 3 in Catalonia. She is seen going up the stairs to Judit's house and entering the apartment. Judit's apartment is on Benet i Mateu Street, 56.

Another day, we see Lola and Bruno leaving through the entrance of their building on Calle Lírica, 13. Bruno goes to work, and she leaves with the shopping cart and Cleo again. They say goodbye at the door. Lola walks through Plaza Mossèn Ferran Palau. And then we see her walking down a street to a half-lowered shutter, and she goes in. It looks like a furniture and antiques store. The outside is on Puig i Cadafalch Street, 13 (in the back). The inside of the store is in Espai Cartoon (Junta de Comerç Street, 17).

We see Lola again walking with Cleo through Plaza Mossèn Doctor Ferran Palau. Sitting alone on a chair, an older woman feeds bread to the pigeons. Lola looks at her, thoughtful. She returns to her flat, where she is working on new designs. Her sister asks her to look after her nephews and takes them home. Later, Lola and Bruno walk with their nephews through Infància Square. Her sister is sitting on the terrace of a bar. It is the Karli Café Bar at number 11 in the square.

Later, Lola is on a bench in the street, and Bruno is leaving a takeaway restaurant. They are in Zurbarán Square, 1 at the Pizzeria El Corner de Montbau. Then they walk along Pla de Montbau towards home. They pass in front of a baby shop called Momumi. This shop does not exist. It is a self-service laundry at number 6 Pla de Montbau.

Another day, we see Lola returning to her friend Judit’s house. Later, she returns home and does not want to go in. She leaves again. We see her going down some metal stairs. She looks for her friend Paula’s flat on her mobile phone.

The flat is at 143 Juan d’Àvila Street. Again, Lola returns home. She sits on a bench in front of the door of the building at 13 Lírica Street.

The next day, Lola arrives at the gallery where her friend Paula exposes her art. We see her walking down the street and looking through the glass of the L&B Art Gallery (58 Àlaba Street). She takes the train, we see the landscape through the train window, and then she walks in front of a train station while the train leaves. It is Montgat station. She is going to her mother’s house.

Finally, Bruno and Lola are waiting at the doctor’s office in Vall d’Hebron. They return home, and we see them at the door
