Based on the true story of Ousman Umar
Dani Sancho directs his feature film debut with this adaptation of the powerful true story of Ousman Umar, a renowned Ghanaian human rights activist and educator. The film is based on his best-selling novel. The script was written by Guillem Clua and filmed in Barcelona and Ghana.
Ousman Umar plays his adult self in the film. He is accompanied in his adolescence and childhood by newcomers Benjamin Adams and Víctor Say. Emma Vilarasau completes the cast in the role of the Ghanaian native's adoptive mother.
