SIMPLIFICATION OF THE ENTRY PROCEDURE FOR FOREIGN PROFESSIONALS IN THE AUDIOVISUAL SECTOR

12/13/2021

Three possible ways

The Central Government, within the framework of the “Spain Audiovisual Hub of Europe” project, has simplified the procedure for the entry and stay of foreign professionals in the audiovisual sector. In addition, it has expanded the concept of a professional person in the audiovisual sector and includes all the professionals who make it possible for the activity to take place.

There are three ways to enter and stay for professionals from other countries who work in the audiovisual sector:

  • 1. Professionals in the audiovisual sector who will remain in Spain for up to 90 days in any 180 days. Exception of the obligation to obtain a work permit and a visa if they come from visa-free countries following Community rules.
  • 2. Professionals in the audiovisual sector who will remain in Spain for more than 90 days, up to a maximum of 180 days. In these cases, they can obtain a visa that will be sufficient to remain and exercise their activity in Spain during their validity.
  • 3. Residence permit configured as a single permit to reside and work in the audiovisual sector for more than 180 days.

This procedure enables those professionals can stay in Spain with their direct relatives. This is a key element for many of them, especially for minors.
