David Trueba directs Saben aquell about the early years of the career of humorist Eugenio. Set in Barcelona in the 1960s-70s, David Verdaguer is the charismatic comedian Eugenio. Carolina Yuste plays Conchita, his first wife.

Albert Espinosa wrote the script based on the books Eugenio and Saben aquel que diu by Gerard Jofra, the humorist's son. The film will feature music by Andrea Motis, who has adapted the songs played by Carolina Yuste and David Verdaguer. Complete the cast Pedro Casablanc, Marina Salas, and Ramon Fontserè with various characters who were part of Eugenio's professional environment and who play themselves.
