11/10/2022

Based on the homonymous novel by Andreu Martín

This feature film, halfway between a thriller and a social drama, directed by Ramon Térmens, has been shooting since October 24. With a script by Daniel Faraldo and Térmens himself, the film has a cast led by Alberto Yo Lee, Chacha Huang, Daniel Faraldo, Marcos Zan, Montse German, Abel Folk, and María Galiana, among others.

The film is shooting in Catalan, Spanish, and Mandarin for six weeks in Barcelona, Badalona, Santa Coloma, and Sant Adrià de Besòs, with landscapes such as the port, the three chimneys, the Montjuic cemetery, the Ciutadella park or the Chinatown of Badalona. Societat negra focuses for the first time on the Chinese community in Catalonia.

A police informer and his two colleagues from his neighborhood dare to hit the Chinese mafia in Barcelona. The fatal consequences will soon follow them, but they will sell their skin dearly.

Segarra Films and Societat Oculta AIE produce the film that has the participation of ICEC and TV3.
