The new Prime Video series explores the complex relationship between technology and humanity in the digital age and stars Álex González, Alba Planas, Asier Etxeandía, Mireia Oriol and Jordi Mollà. The thriller will be filmed in some of the most emblematic technological spaces in the city of Barcelona, such as the Barcelona Supercomputing Center-Centre Nacional de Supercomputació, the ALBA Synchrotron, the Talent Arena, the Collserola tower, the Pompeu Fabra University, and the 22@ district.

The story of Day One focuses on the life of Ulises Albet (Álex González). he is a computer prodigy. He leaves Barcelona and the technological world behind after the suicide of his sister, a victim of bullying. Ten years later, a mysterious call from his former partner and best friend, Samuel Barrera, forces him to return in the middle of the Mobile World Congress. He warns him that the world is in danger. This fact forces the protagonist to confront his past and the progress of technology.

Zebra Producciones, NewCo Audiovisual, Documentales en Canarias S.L., and Fundació Barcelona Mobile World Capital produce the series. Marta Pahissa and Víctor Cuadrado are the directors. Day One will premiere exclusively on the platform in 2026.
