A roadmovie with Javier Gutiérrez and Luis Zahera

After directing Formentera Lady in Barcelona, Pau Durà returns with this road movie between comedy and drama. Starring Javier Gutiérrez and Luis Zahera together with the Italian Teresa Saponangelo.

It is the story of a journey, that of two men who, in their fifties, search for an unattainable adjutant and an impossible future. A trip in which they will travel Europe, their own life, their relationships, family, love, sex ... as a catharsis in the face of the inevitable passage of time.

Fosca Films, Icónica, and Tandem Films for Birds Film, AIE, and in co-production with Romanian Saga Film, produce the film. The filming, in various locations in Catalonia, including a small part in Barcelona, will take place over eight weeks in different parts of Europe, stopping in Italy and Romania until reaching Constanza, on the shores of the Black Sea. Pájaros will be released in theaters in 2023 by Filmax.
