OCCUPATION FEE FOR FILMING PERMITS IN PARKS, GARDENS AND BEACHES IN BARCELONA

11/29/2024

From 1 January 2025

Warning! From 1 January 2025, all productions must pay the occupation fees for filming permits in municipal parks and gardens and on the beaches of Barcelona (the spaces managed by the Municipal Institute of Parks and Gardens).

Currently, the established fees are €600 (per day and location) for filming and €336 for photo sessions.

Even so, the Barcelona Institute of Culture (ICUB) can grant you a 90% reduction in the fee for those productions in which the private use or special use of the public domain to film films, audiovisual recordings, and cultural products represents a value of general interest above its commercial and advertising interest.

If you want to enjoy this reduction, you must request it from the ICUB at least one month before the start of the effects. You can request it here.

If you have any questions about the procedure for requesting the reduction, you can contact: reducciotaxesrodatgesculturals@bcn.cat.

Please note that the following applicants are exempt from paying this fee:

• The State, the Generalitat of Catalonia, and local entities for the provision of public services directly or through third parties.
• Political parties during election periods.
• Regulated educational centers that request the permit as an academic exercise.

In all these cases, to apply for the exemption, a document must be attached proving that the request comes from a public administration or one of the mentioned entities.
