New professional training courses from the Catalan Film Academy's Department Against Abuse

03/25/2025

Starting in April and running through July

The first training course will be about Nonviolent Communication (NVC). This tool promotes the creation of safe work environments free from gender-based violence and addresses the complex power relations and pressures inherent in the audiovisual industry.

The sessions, led by therapist Annette Stössel, consist of four 16-hour theoretical and practical modules spread over four days from April to July. These sessions will show various mechanisms for detecting, judgment, and attack and defense dynamics. It will cover also positive and conscious conflict resolution.

Likewise, the participants will explore new ways to strengthen collaboration and active listening on set, contributing to a culture based on respect and the healthy expression of our limits and needs.

All sessions will be in person at the SGAE headquarters (Paseo Colom, 6, Barcelona).
