Next week we continue with Pantalla Barcelona. On December 12th at 8pm at the Civic Center Can Clariana we will present the program "The ethics of illusion" with the presentation of the writer Najat El Hachmi.

In this session you will be able to see the short Cavalls Morts by Marc Riba and Anna Solanas and the feature film Callback by Carles Torras. The Barcelonians Marc Riba and Anna Solanas are stop-motion magicians and this short is proof of it. A tragic story about broken dreams, childhood and horses. In a rural isolated country, where the war threatens, a child is forced to flee. On the way, he will find corpses of horses everywhere. Only dead horses. Why?

Next, we will see the feature film Callback from director Carles Torras. A cold thriller in which the protagonist who lives in the U.S. wants to fulfill his dream of being an advertising actor. Larry, a fervent evangelical Christian, works as a removal man while he goes to the numerous castings, waiting for his great opportunity, which never comes. Her luck changes when she knows Alexandra, but maybe it will not change just as he would want. Dreams sometimes are better when they are not fulfilled.

The presentation will be on the 12th of December by Najat el Hachmi, Moroccan writer who lives in Catalonia from the age of 8. Bachelor's Degree in Arabic philology from the University of Barcelona, she ​​won the Ramon Llull Prize for the 2008 novel by El último patriarca.
