The Barcelona Independent Film Festival celebrates its 24th edition

From November 13th to 19 Barcelona will be filled with the best independent cinema thanks to L’Alternativa. Zama, the new film by Lucrecia Martel, will be the opening title. The festival will have two official competitive sections (feature films and short films); parallel sections (with tributes, retrospectives, premieres and projections of little known works and new creators); free projections; as well as various activities and spaces for training, debate and education.

The parallel section of this year will bring to Barcelona the retrospectives of Michael Glawogger and Emmanuelle Riva, along with Deborah Stratman and Eric Pauwels, who will also visit the festival to offer a workshop and a seminar.

L'Alternativa Professionals section will also offer the 8th Session of L’Alternativa Professionals and Mentoring Projects, a project counselling session.
