Jaime Rosales shoots in Barcelona ‘Girasoles silvestres’

The director's seventh film

At the beginning of February, Jaime Rosales began to shoot his new film in our city. Girasoles silvestres will shoot for 8 weeks in Barcelona but also in Melilla, Mataró, and Banyoles. Anna Castillo, plays Julia, an impulsive and vital young mother who seeks love and fights to protect her two children. Oriol Pla plays Óscar, a passionate man who begins an intense and tortuous relationship with her. An incident will make Julia flee forward in search of a better future. The cast is completed by Quim Àvila, Lluís Marquès, Manolo Solo, and Carolina Yuste.

The film is produced by Fresdeval Films, A Contracorriente Films, Oberon Media, and Luxbox (France), with the participation of RTVE, TV3, and Movistar + and funding from ICAA, ICEC, and Media Creative. The premiere is scheduled for this year's fall.
