A new film by Daniel Monzón

Las leyes de la Frontera is the film adaptation of the homonymous novel by Javier Cercas. Directed by Daniel Monzón, it has started filming and will shoot nine weeks in different locations in Catalonia, such as Barcelona, Girona, Manresa, Montblanc, and the Garraf coast.

Set in 1978, it tells the story of Ignacio Cañas, a 17-year-old introverted student. His life changes when he meets Zarco and Tere, two criminals immersed in an unstoppable career of robberies. The film narrates the summer in which Ignacio grew up living on the border between two worlds: that of good and evil. The one of justice and injustice.

Marcos Ruiz will play Ignacio, Begoña Vargas will play Tere, and Chechu Salgado will play Zarco. The film will be released in 2021.
