El ciudadano ilustre

Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat direct the comedy that was shot in Barcelona on April 18th.

A Contracorriente Films produces the comedy El ciudadano ilustre, a story of the life of a writer and awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, the books from whom, depict his hometown, called Salas, with strong doses of cruelty. Now, he receives an invitation to go back to Salas to be honored by the authorities, and decides to accept.

This Spanish-Argentinian production made with the collaboration of TVE (Spanish Public Broadcasting Television) spent one day at Turó Parc in Barcelona filming some scenes. Afterwards the crew moved to Argentina to continue the filming.

The main character of the film is played by Oscar Martínez, recently seen in Relatos Salvajes (Wild Tales), and the cast includes the Catalan actress Nora Navas.
