The institution responsible for the use of airspace and aircrafts, AESA released a statement to remember the rules.

The last few months there have been many doubts about the use of drones, so the institution responsible for the use of airspace and aircrafts, AESA (State Agency for Aviation Safety) released a statement to remember the rules regarding the use of these remote controlled aircrafts in Spain.

In this statement the agency recalled that "in Spain, it is not allowed to use drones for civilian applications. So it is not allowed the use of this remote control piloted aircrafts for professional or commercial purposes".

If you want to use a civilian drone for commercial purposes, it is required an authorization by the Agency, but due to the lack of specific regulations on the use of these devices, AESA "cannot issue such authorization because it lacks legal basis for it '.

For this reason its use is currently illegal and may involve penalties.
