
Training for festivals and film exhibitions
The Barcelona Film Commission with the collaboration of the Catalunya Film Festivals organized last week the first communication training sessions for festivals and film exhibitions of the city. In this first session, we worked on "Branding, Sponsoring and Digital Marketing". The BFCLabFestivals took place at the Disseny Hub in Barcelona on the 1st and 2nd of March. The event was attended by Valentí Oviedo, Manager of ICUB.
During the conference, Pilar Yépez explained the keys of branding and sponsorship applied to festivals and film exhibitions. Yépez is a founding partner of the agency Ubica Below and for more than 15 years she has combined the professional world with digital marketing training for different entities. Josep Maria Brugués offered us the keys to define a good communication plan. Brugués has dedicated more than 25 years to the world of business communication. He has been director of communication for companies such as Port Aventura, Roche Diagnostics, Universitat de Girona and Grupo BBDO. And Ricard Castellet told us about the keys to digital marketing and social networks applied to festivals and film exhibitions. Castellet is CEO of Barcelona TechCity, business association of the digital ecosystem and coordinator of the Digital Marketing master's degree at La Salle-Universitat Ramón Llull.
In addition to these trainings, we had the opportunity to listen to two guests who explained their personal experiences as directors of two film festivals at the state and international level: Tiina Lokk-Tramberg, director of PÖFF, Black Nights Film Festival of Tallinn and José Luis Cienfuegos, director of the European Film Festival of Seville.
