There are already 47 members

Barcelona Film Commission is now part of the Spain Film Commission network of partners. This incorporation further strengthens its national network, which already has 47 partners.

Barcelona has consolidated as one of the great European centers of audiovisual production. Its attractiveness as a filming destination is based mainly on its infrastructure, its architectural wealth, and the diversity of its surroundings.

Our city hosts a multitude of productions every year, such as They Will Be Dust by Carlos Marques-Marcet, Espiga de Plata at the Seminci – Semana Internacional de Cine de Valladolid, or Sociedad Negra by Ramón Térmens, awarded at the Festival de Cine Spagnol de Marseille. In TV series, we have success stories such as This is not Sweden by Aina Clotet, Best Comedy Series at the Ondas Awards; o I,Addict by Javier Giner is Best Series at Serielizados.

For Spain Film Commission, the addition of Barcelona Film Commission to its network “signifies an important step in the promotion of Spanish cinema and in the creation of opportunities for international productions that seek Spain as a competitive country, with a diversity of locations and with the necessary talent to carry out first-class projects.”
