Another film that is being shot now in Barcelona is The Chosen, a new production written and directed by Antonio Chavarrías. This suspense thriller takes place in Spain during the 1940s, when a young Republican is recruited by Soviet intelligence service to participate in a top secret mission ordered by Stalin himself: murdering his greatest enemy, Trotsky. The Republican falls in love with a Trotskyist girl and will hide his true purpose.
