The BFC will take part in the annual meeting of the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI), that will be held in New York City October 3rd-5th.

As every year the AFCI, the international association that gathers Film Commissions from all over the world, organizes the Cineposium, its educational event and congress where commissions and staff members can attend to find out the latest industry trends, and to network with their peers and industry professionals.

This year the seminar will take place in New York, on the first weekend of October, and offers a program full of interesting topics like how to build a Film Tourism Strategy, tax incentives, how to measure the economic impact of productions or how to deal and film with drones.

Last time that Barcelona Film Commission attended Cineposium was in 2005, in Glasgow, and this year we are back to participate as one of the most active European Film Commissions, and with the will to work on the possibility of hosting the Congress in Barcelona in a near future.
