‘Escape Room’ shoots in Barcelona

07/21/2021

Based on the hit play

Written by Joel Joan and Hèctor Claramunt, the play Escape Room became a true phenomenon on the bill for years and has travelled the world. The same authors have adapted the work to the big screen and filming ends this July in Barcelona. Directed by Hèctor Claramunt, the film is interpreted by Joel Joan, Paula Vives, Ivan Massagué and Mònica Pérez with the special collaboration of Ferran Carvajal and Jordi Boixaderas.

Two couples of lifelong friends meet to make an Escape Room, where the corpse of a dismembered man has recently been found. The four friends think that a fun game awaits them to pass the time, test their intelligence and laugh a little. But when the room door closes and the countdown begins, strange things start to happen. Leaving that "escape room" will not be easy, and the game will become a hell that will test their friendship to unsuspected limits.
