Filming has already begun on El Cuco, directed by Mar Targarona. El Cuco is a production of El Pájaro Cuco AIE, Rodar y Rodar, and Barry Films. Filming will take place in the Black Forest, Germany, and in Barcelona over the next few weeks.

El Cuco is a thriller with overtones of supernatural horror, written by Alfred Pérez-Fargas and Roger Danès. The plot focuses on a young couple, Anna and Marc (Belén Cuesta and Jorge Suquet), who decide to exchange their house with a retired German couple, Hans and Olga (played by Rainer Reiners and Hildegard Schroedter) with the intention of disconnecting from your lifestyle and routine. But it seems that Hans and Olga have other plans for them.
