Vall de Cardós

Ribera de Cardós is the largest village in the municipality and the administrative center of the area. Surrounded by mountains and nestled at the bottom of the valley, it is notable for its impressive Romanesque parish church of Santa Maria, one of the valley’s main heritage landmarks.
The village consists of a cluster of houses that gracefully preserve the traditional aesthetic, harmoniously integrated into the natural surroundings. At the top of the village, on a hill to the north, you can see the remains of what was once the Castle of Ribera de Cardós.
The village is easily accessible by car, and there are several accommodations and restaurants that make for a comfortable stay.
