Cardona is a medieval town, located at the foot of its Castle. The charm is found in each of its streets, some of them narrow and steep that hide their essence and history. We can find the majestic "Palau de Graells", a Gothic style building from the 14th century; or the church of Sant Miquel, in Gothic style built between the 14th and 16th centuries and consecrated in 1397, among others.
The Old Town of Cardona has been a Cultural Asset of National Interest, in the category of historical complex, since 1992. Its origins must be located in the first half of the 11th century, when a small town or suburb was formed around the market that was celebrated at the foot of the castle mountain.
