Colonia dels Arquers is an old colony of Cardona located 1.5 km from the central core. It was born after the Civil War, when the "Unión Explosivos Río Tinto" built housing for the miners, following the typology established in all the company's mining areas: small, one-story single-family houses lined up on long streets. Currently, efforts have been made to restore some houses to make housing for young people and families and thus re-inhabit this space that in the last 25 years was depopulated because the vast majority of people who lived there left for the center of Cardona.
