Like the old domestic gardens, those of Can Castelló are the ideal place for sitting down and reading, having a relaxing conversation or simply thinking. They are the grand entrance to an old country house which is still in good condition and which, like the gardens, is now destined for public use.

The Can Castelló Gardens are elegant and romantic. Its parterres, standing in irregular shapes are round, well defined and dense and are remarkable for their great landscape beauty. They are overflowing with trees and palms, most of which are of medium height and of considerable age, planted at the beginning of the last century. Just as the benches on the pathways provide a place to rest and talk, the wall covered in vegetation which surrounds the garden guarantees silence, which is greatly valued in such a lively city as Barcelona. There are details which are worth noticing for their charm, such as the small channels excavated on either side of the pathways lined with river pebbles which drain the rainwater to avoid the erosion of the pathways.
