In a small town in the Catalan Pyrenees there are two centuries-old houses: the rich Can Pujalt and Can Xanot, a house practically in ruins. It is here that Xana is born, who is raised freely in the countryside. As an adult, one day she is attacked by the rogue Met, but the heir Enric Pujalt saves her and the two fall in love. After some time, she becomes pregnant and leaves the village because she does not want to complicate the life of the heir. Beyond its strict cinematic value, the Pyrenees – magnificently photographed – can be considered another character in the film, a powerful geographical space that contains and shapes the characters who live there.
Shot in: La Vall d'Aran.
