Olivier works in Barcelona and lives in Paris. As a result he takes the express train between the two cities so that he can spend the weekends with his wife and his two children. On one of these trips he meets Elisa and falls in love with her. Following a dizzy spell, he accompanies her to her cabin. She asks him to read the results of some medical tests that she does not understand, and Olivier must tell her that she has leukaemia. Elisa takes it very badly, as she doesn't want anyone to feel sorry for her. Olivier spends that night in the young woman's cabin, watching over her.
