Synopsis:

The story of a deep, enduring love between a man and a woman of different social classes, from 1935 to 2000. Throughout these years their story shares the spotlight with the great history of Catalonia from the pre-war years to the end of the century. Parallel to the central story of the emotions and obstacles the couple must overcome, is the division of the country as a result of the war, the country's economic recovery, the resistance or the resignation of the people, the progression from the years of difficulty to times of progress, the arrival of immigrants and their integration, the period of development, the arrival of democracy, the coup d'êtat, the recuperation of civil liberties, the Olympic Games and the closing of a century. All against the backdrop of life in the plaza where the main participants in this journey live: businessmen, artisans, labourers...
