Ruido follows the story of Lati, an African descendant rapper who dreams of making it big in freestyle battles. Since the loss of her father, Lati has found refuge in music. However, her mother, a Muslim woman with traditional values, disapproves of her desire to be a rapper, considering it dangerous and vulgar. Secretly from her mother, Lati trains with Judy, a former freestyle competitor shunned by the music scene. Although Judy initially sees her as more prey to extract money from, over time, she discovers Lati's true talent and decides to guide her to her full potential. Lati struggles to excel in the competitive world of battles despite her mother's disapproval. Tensions between the two increase when her mother, subjected to family pressure, decides to exhume the body of her late husband, Lati's father, to carry out a burial according to Muslim rites in her home country. Lati faces a difficult decision: follow her dream of becoming a rapper or please her mother and give up her passion. In the hustle and bustle of rap, Lati finds her voice, transforming her journey into an echo of personal revolution.
